Geodatabase   SLIDO-4.4 is an Esri ArcGIS version 10.7 file geodatabase. The geodatabase contains two feature datasets (a group of datasets within the geodatabase) containing six feature classes total, as well as two raster data sets, one individual table, and two individual feature classes. The original studies vary widely in scale, scope and focus which is reflected in the wide range of accuracy, detail, and completeness with which landslides are mapped. In the future, we propose a continuous update of SLIDO. These updates should take place: 1) each time DOGAMI publishes a new GIS dataset that contains landslide inventory or susceptibility data or 2) at the end of each winter season, a common time for landslide occurrences in Oregon, which will include recent historic landslide point data. In order to keep track of the updates, we will use a primary release number such as Release 4.0 along with a decimal number identifying the update such as 4.4.
Deposits polygons This feature class consists of polygons delineating landslide deposits (including debris flow fans and talus extent).
Detailed_Deep_Landslide_Susceptibility polygons This layer is a deep landslide susceptibility map. The symbology on this map includes high, moderate, and low susceptibility. The deep susceptibility zones were established based upon location and proximity to deep landslide deposits and head scarps, buffer along the landslide head scarps, susceptible geologic units, slope angles, and mapper judgment following protocol developed by Burns (2008).
Detailed_Shallow_Landslide_Susceptibility raster This layer is a shallow landslide susceptibility raster dataset. The symbology on this map includes low, moderate and high susceptibility. The main components used to create the zones include 1) using a landslide inventory, 2) calculating regional slope stability factor of safety (FOS), 3) removing isolated small elevation changes (to reduce over-prediction), 4) creating buffers to add susceptible areas missed in a grid-type analysis (to reduce under-prediction), and 5) combining the four components into final susceptibility hazard zones.

Detailed_Susceptibility_Map_Index
polygons This feature class contains polygons that represent areas where detailed shallow and deep landslide susceptibility data sets are available. The Detailed_Susceptibility_Map_Index feature class is related spatially to the shallow and deep landslide susceptibility data sets and the References table through the reference identification codes (REF_ID_COD).
Historic_Landslide_Points points DOGAMI compiled this data from several datasets including DOGAMI SP-34 (landslide points from 1996-1997). Each feature class dataset includes 29 fields. The dataset is a compilation of center points of published or known historic (roughly 1928-2018 in Oregon) landslides. Any available information about these landslides including damage and losses can be found in the attribute table. The structure and content of this feature class attribute table are also detailed in Appendix B of the accompanying SLIDO-4.x report.
Index_LS_Studies points This dataset is a compilation of the point locations of regionally significant or typical landslides that have publicly available, site-specific, detailed studies.
Inventory_Map_Index polygons The Inventory_Map_Index feature class contains polygons that describe the extent of the original studies included in SLIDO Release 4.2. The Inventory_Map_Index feature class user-defined fields include the original reference, original map scale, and original mapping purpose, that is, if the mapping related to identification of geologic hazards. A full list of the references, original map scales, and reference identification codes (REF_ID_COD) are provided in the References table in this geodatabase. The Inventory_Map_Index feature class is related to the landslide deposit feature class and the References table through the REF_ID_COD field.
References table This table consists of citations, scale, and date for each of the published and unpublished landslide studies included in SLIDO-4.2.
Scarp_Flanks polygons This feature class represents polygons that delineate the head scarps and scarp flanks. These head scarps or uppermost scarps in many cases expose the primary failure plane (surface of rupture) and flanks or shear zones.
Scarps polylines This feature class represents lines of the uppermost extent of landslide head scarp and any internal scarps within the body of the landslide.
Statewide_Landslide_Susceptibility_Overview raster The data in this raster depicts landslide susceptibility at a 10-meter resolution, across the state of Oregon. The data was created using Oregon Lidar Consortium (OLC) data, and USGS NED data where OLC data was not present. This elevation data was converted into slopes, and a multi-pronged analysis process used these slopes, geology and mapped existing landslides to create this 10-meter raster. There are 4 classes of landslide susceptibility: Low, Moderate, High and Very High.
